Martha Halford

Mrs. Martha Faye Siler Halford, age 92, passed away from this life on Tuesday, September 17, 2013. Mrs. Halford, a homemaker, was born in Obion County, Tennessee; the daughter of the late Lacey Curtis Siler and Mary Hargett Siler Elder. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Kenton, Tennessee. Mrs. Halford was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Carlton Halford; son, Steven Halford; five brothers and three sisters. She leaves a son, Curtis Halford and spouse, Charlotte of Dyer; and son Michael Halford of Troutman, NC; a loving daughter-in-law, Marie Halford of Kenton; one brother, Jack Siler; one sister, Linda Siler Winchester; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5-8 on Thursday, September 19, 2013, at Kenton United Methodist Church. Funeral services for Mrs. Halford will be conducted on Friday, September 20, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in the Kenton United Methodist Church with Bro. John Varden officiating. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery of Kenton, Tennessee. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Martha Faye Siler Halford.
