Martha Opal Vinson

Mrs. Martha Opal (Eddlemon) Vinson, age 95 of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on October 27, 2023, at the Dyer Nursing Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Vinson will be conducted on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 2PM in the Kenton chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Skelton officiating. Interment will follow in New Concord Cemetery.

Mrs. Vinson was born May 29, 1928, in Kenton, TN; the daughter of the late Carl Parkins & Ruth Mae (Cole) Eddlemon. Mrs. Vinson was a retired seamstress for Kellwood Clothing Company, along with being a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of New Concord Baptist Church.

Martha is survived by her children, Keith Vinson (Jan), Karla Sample (Johnny), Kevin Vinson, and Beth Milligan (Ben); three grandchildren, Brent Campbell (Holly), Cody Vinson, McKenna Vinson (Josh Mathis); two great-grandchildren, Tyler Campbell, Brady Milligan; and one sister, Betty Jean Rapski. She was preceded in death by her husband Lyndle Fay ‘Buddy’ Vinson.

The family will receive friends from 5PM-8PM on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at the Kenton chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home.
