Mary Jane Thompson

Mrs. Mary Jane Thompson age 79 of Dyer, TN, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at her home. Funeral services for Mrs. Thompson will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Dyer, with Bro. Mark Kirkpatrick officiating. Visitation for Mrs. Thompson will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Dyer.

Mrs. Mary Jane Thompson was born January 30, 1947, to the late John Sanford and Tressie Evitt Sanford. Mrs. Thompson was a retired Brown Shoe employee as well as a retired day care provider. She was a member of Dyer First Assembly of God.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by her husband, William 'Bill' Thompson; her three children, Judith Hendrix, Brett Wayne Hendrix, and Billie Jo Thompson; eight grandchildren, Olivia Thompson, Brittney Thompson, Brian Hendrix, William Harrison, Taylor Hendrix, Cody Pendergras, Brandon Pendergras, Harley Hendrix; and two great-grandchildren, Jameson Thompson, and Weston Thompson.

Mrs. Thompson is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Barbara Sandord; and brother, John Sanford.
