Mary Thornton

Mrs. Mary Dale Thornton, age 99 of Savannah, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Hardin Medical Center. Graveside services for Mrs. Thornton will be conducted on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 2:00 pm, at Good Hope Cemetery in Dyer with Bro. Randy Mutter officiating. Interment will follow in Good Hope Cemetery, in Dyer. She was born July 24, 1917 in Dyer, TN; the daughter of the late Erman and Lydia Jackson Davidson. She was worked at Brown Shoe Co. She is survived by her daughter, Kay Walden (Bob); one brother, William Davidson; two grandchildren, Robert Walden III, and Deborah Kay Abdon; and four great grandchildren, Mary Lauren Teague, Blair Vincent, Jonathon Abdon, and Joshua Abdon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy D. Thornton. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Mary Dale Thornton.
