Mary Etta Watkins

Mrs. Mary Etta Watkins, age 80 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at home. A Memorial Service for Mrs. Watkins will be conducted at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Karnes & Son Funeral Home.

Mary was born October 20, 1944, in Gibson County, TN; the daughter of the late Guy & Manie Cuthbertson Askew. She worked at Goodyear as a general laborer until the companies closing and was a member of New Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Mrs. Watkins is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Cooley (Jay); son, Allen Bradley (Lisa); brother, Doug Askew (Loretta); grandchildren, Drew Cooley, Ashley Kate Cooley, Justin Bradley, Garrett Bradley, Conner Bradley; and sixteen nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Rosell Shanklin, Hazel Shanklin; and brother, A.G. Askew.
