Mary Whitworth King

Mrs. Mary Whitworth King, 87, passed away January 4, 2025, at the Jackson-Madison County Hospital. She was a retired shipping/receiving clerk at Kellwood Company. She donated her remains to science in order to help others as she had done all her life. The family will receive friends at a memorial service on January 25, 2025, from 11AM to 1PM, with a short service to follow at the Rutherford Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Margaret Wheatley Pate and Drewis Allen Pate; her beloved first husband, Alfred Whitworth; and second husband, Ray Milton King. She is survived by her brother, Joe Hamilton Pate; her sons, Glyn Whitworth and wife Lynn, Wayne Whitworth and wife Rebecca, David Whitworth and wife Della; grandchildren, Rebecca Murphy, Claire Gaglio, Grayson Whitworth, Matt Borchert, Max Clark Samantha Sewall; and great-grandchildren, Ella & Margot Sewall, Atlas & Sophia Gaglio, and Oliver & Everett Murphy.
