Mary Evelyn Wilson

Mary Evelyn Wilson, age 89 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Friday, November 6, 2020, at Dyer Nursing Home. Graveside services for Mrs. Wilson will be conducted on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Rutherford Cemetery.

She was born January 21, 1931 in Rutherford, TN; the daughter of the late Dwight L. & Iona Abbott Penn.  She retired from Five M. Apparel Company working as a production manager, also was a charter member-Sunday school teacher and served as pianist for 41 years at Calvary Baptist Church in Rutherford.

She is survived by daughter, Shelia Olson (Dean) of Oroville, CA; special grandson, Shawn Wilson Barber of Rutherford; three grandchildren, Deanna Desmit (Kyle), Kyle Olson (Tiffany), and Casey Olson all of Oroville, CA; special sister, Helen Ruth McCall of Rutherford; four great grandchildren; special nieces, Carol Cunningham (Terry) of Rutherford, Raeleada McFarland (Kenneth) of Dyer; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by husband, Howard Wilson; parents, Dwight & Iona Abbott Penn; and grandson, Duston Allen Olson.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am – 10:45am on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Mary Evelyn Wilson.
