Melinda Thornton

Mrs. Melinda Fay Thornton, age 67 of Trenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Thursday, November 23, 2017, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Thornton will be conducted on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Dyer with Bro. Randy Mutter officiating. Interment will follow in Griers Chapel Cemetery, in Dyer, Tennessee. Mrs. Thornton was born August 8, 1950 in Trenton, Tennessee; the daughter of the late R.C and Margaret Markham Crocker. She was a retired employee of WSW Clothing Manufacturing, and a member of the Griers Chapel Methodist Church. Mrs. Thornton is survived by her daughter, Tina Eddie, two grandchildren, and six great grandchildren, one sister, Mary Karp, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, and her parents. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 26, 2017 in the chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Dyer.
