Michael Lynn Bates

Mr. Michael ‘Mike’ Lynn Bates, age 59 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Graveside services for Mr. Bates will be conducted on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 2PM at Poplar Grove Cemetery with Bro. Ricky Parker, who is officiating.

He was born May 17, 1966, in Trenton, TN; the son of Carolyn Jean Bates Langston and the late Kenneth Ray Bates. He worked as a forklift driver at McGaughey Lumber in Milan.

Mike is survived by mother, Carolyn Langston; sister, Debbie Parker (Perry); niece, Chasity Mercer (Greg); nephew, Justin Marlow (Becky); and companion, Patricia ‘Trish’ Lee and her daughter, Keri Parker, which Mike thought of as his own. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Ray Bates; and son, David Bates.
