Michael Jay Estes, age 77 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Estes will be conducted on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 12PM in the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Follis Chapel Cemetery in Trenton.

Michael was born January 9, 1949, in Jackson, TN; the son of the late Wallace and Leverne Estes. He worked at Wilson Manufacturing as maintenance manager before his retirement. He served his country with the US Army and US Navy.

Mr. Estes is survived by daughter, Colleen Milton; sister, Cindy Peevyhouse; seven grandchildren, Miles Estes, Tisha Goodwin, Tyler Estes, Christian Estes, Janie Estes, Christopher Milton, Laya Milton; and nine great-grandchildren, Easton Goodwin, Oakley Estes, Archer Goodwin, Marcus Estes, Brooklyn Estes, Addison Whitten, Liam Estes, Baker Whitten, and Carter Estes who is on his way. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ellen Harrison Estes; son, Marc Estes; granddaughter, Skylar Estes; and sister, Sandra Carey.

Visitation will begin 10AM, Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the Dyer chapel, until service time at 12PM.
