Murry Goad

Mr. Murry Clifton Goad, age 89 of Samburg, Tennessee, passed away from this life on February 19, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City. Graveside services for Mr. Goad will be conducted on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 2:00pm at Oakwood Cemetery with Bro. Randy Mutter officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, in Dyer. He was born October 9, 1927 in Dyer, TN; the son of the late Leslie and Mabel Thomason Goad. He served his country with the US Navy. He is survived by daughter, Ren Goad Whitsitt of Germantown; grandchildren, Jeren Brock (Gary) of Covington, John “Trey” Whitsitt (Heather) of Memphis, Bradley Whitsitt of Minneapolis, and Coleman Whitsitt of Memphis; and two sisters, Glenda King of Dyer, and Clarice Hamlett of Dyer. He was preceded in death by father, Leslie J. Goad; mother and step father, Mabel Thomason Goad King and Clarence King; spouse, Emogene Carver Goad; and son in law, John C. Whitsitt.
