Nancy Lou Whitley

Mrs. Nancy Lou Whitley, age 89 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Graveside services for Mrs. Whitley will be conducted on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at 2:00pm at North Union Cemetery. Interment will immediatley follow.

She was born March 12, 1932, in Rutherford, TN; the daughter of the late James Tharlon & Geneva Johnstone Jewell. She worked for Kellwood Mfg. as a factory worker before her retirement and was a member of North Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by three children, Kenneth Whitley, Robert Whitley, Terry Whitley; one brother, James Jewell; and many grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ray Houston Whitley; and two sisters, Mary Lee Canada, and Edna Ruth Chalker.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm – 8:00pm on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Nancy Lou Whitley.
