Phyllis Brown

Mrs. Phyllis Joan Brown, age 73 of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Jackson Madison Co. General Hospital. Graveside services for Mrs. Brown will be conducted on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Bells Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Marlon Stephens officiating. Mrs. Brown was born February 9, 1943 in Dyer, Tennessee; the daughter of the late Tansil Rozzell “Red” and Willie Mai Inman McEwen. Mrs. Brown was a retired Factory Worker for Honeywell and loving mother and homemaker. Mrs. Brown was a Presbyterian by faith and attended Bells Chapel, and Bethel Baptist. Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband Eugene Brown, one son, Kelly Brown and wife Lisa, one sister, Nancy Reese, one brother, Charles McEwen and wife Mary, three grandchildren Kimberly Ellison, BJ Blurton, Adam Brown, three great- grandchildren, Bryce Ellison, Jackson Brown, Georgia Mae Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents “Red” and Willie Mai McEwen. The family will receive friends from 12 – 2p.m. on Sunday, March 6, 2016 in the chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Rutherford. In Lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to Bells Chapel Cemetery or Memorial of choice. Please No Potted Plants or Trinkets.
