Rebecca Becton

Rebecca Becton, age 90 of Rutherford , Tennessee, passed away from this life on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services for Rebecca Becton will be conducted on Saturday, August 10 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Mt. Olive Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Bro. Charles Fike and Bro. Bobby Garland officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery.

She was born April 30, 1929 in Rutherford; daughter of the late Andrew Burr Cooper and the late Effie C. (Southard) Cooper. She was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She enjoyed her family and friends, and lived her life as an example for others.  Mrs Becton was a member of Mt. Olive Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Becton is survived by two daughters, Sandra Hall and husband Norman, and Brenda Griggs and husband Tommy; five grandchildren, Chris Hall and wife Beverly, Shane Hall and wife Karen, Becky Jo Selph and husband Gary, Bethany Whitehead and husband Benjamin, Brent Griggs and wife Christy; fourteen great grandchildren;  one great-great grandchild; two sisters, Pat Baker, and Ann Campbell; and one brother, Doug Cooper. Mrs. Becton was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L."Bobby" Becton; her parents, A.B. and Effie Cooper; and two sisters, Maxine Fields and Gladys Landrum.

Visitation with the family of Rebecca Becton will be Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mt. Olive Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Rebecca Becton.
