Richard Criswell, Sr.

Mr. Richard Douglas Criswell, Sr., age 67 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at his residence.  Funeral services for Mr. Criswell will be conducted on Monday, November 30, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church with Bro. Bobby Criswell officiating. Interment will follow at Yorkville Cemetery in Yorkville, Tennessee.

He born April 30, 1953 in Dyer, Tennessee; the son of the late Johnny and Tommie Criswell. Mr. Criswell was retired from Bryan Plastec Corporation as a maintenance worker.  He was a member of the Midway Baptist Church.

Mr. Criswell is survived by four sons, Richard Criswell, Jr., Randall Criswell (Bonnie), Ricky Criswell (Becky), and Ryan Criswell (Courtney); three sisters, Alice Shanklin, Frances Sewell, and Shirley Thornton; four brothers, Johnny Mac Criswell, Eddie Criswell, Bobby Criswell, and George Criswell; and 11 grandchildren, Blake Criswell, Siara Criswell, Riley Smith, Andruw Criswell, Rylea Inman, Adam Wright, Abby Wright, Andrea Criswell, Natalie Criswell, Aubri Criswell, and Everly Criswell; two great-grandsons and one on the way.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Samples Criswell and one brother, Jerry Criswell.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Sunday, November 29, 2020 in the Dyer chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home.
