Robert Van Carr passed away at his home in Sharon, TN, on January 29, 2026.

Van was an avid fisherman and sports enthusiast who loved his job and the people who worked there. He was employed at B&R Gear in Sharon, where he worked for 36 years. He never made an enemy and was always the life of the party. He was a lifetime member of the ZZ Top fan club and loved listening to and watching the St Louis Cardinals any time he could, along with supporting his favorite football team, the Minnesota Vikings. He loved camping “the right way” in a tent with his family, whom he loved dearly.

He leaves behind his wife, Dianna Carr; two children, Tracy Hagye (David), Timothy Williams (Amanda); 10 grandchildren, Sidney Williams, Ashlyn Penick (Jacob), April Williams, Hunter Hagye, Brantley Williams, Bryleigh Williams, Brayleigh Williams, Ryder Williams, Damon Owens, and Nathan Owens; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Carla Duff (Rodney); and one brother, Lee Carr (Tonya). He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ted and Martha Carr; and his brother Perry Carr.

Pallbearers will be David Hagye, Hunter Hagye, Carl Vermillion, Christian Carr, Jesse Carr, and Timothy Williams; with Honorary Pallbearer Brantley Williams.
