Mrs. Rosie Sue Reed, age 71 of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Thursday, December 8, 2016, at Jackson Madison County Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Reed will be conducted on Saturday, December 10, at 2:00pm in the Kenton Chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Philip Pinion & Bro. Andy Rice officiating. Interment will follow in North Union Cemetery, in Kenton. She was born September 4, 1945 in Weakley County; the daughter of the late Homer Lee and Beulah Mae (Rambo) Upchurch. She was retired from working as a seamstress at Kellwood. She is survived by her husband, Johnny Reed; children, Carla Yergin (Barry), Jimmy “Bubba” Reed (Jennifer); siblings, Martha Carroll Primrose of Newbern, Roberta Pharm (Frank) of Dresden, Sammie Upchurch (Lucille) of Rutherford, and James Neil Upchurch of Kenton; grandchildren, Derek Yergin and fiancé Kennedy, Austin Yergin (Macie), Hunter Reed, and Kenton Reed. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Bond Upchurch, Harold Upchurch and Edward Upchurch. The family will receive friends from 10:30am to 2:00pm on Saturday, December 10, at the Kenton Chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home.
