Ruth Couch

Mrs. Ruth Maxine Johnson Couch, age 96 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on January 25, 2017, at Milan General Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Couch will be conducted on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 2:00pm in the Rutherford Chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Conley officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, in Kenton. She was born October 28, 1920 in Gibson County; the daughter of the late Thorton and Nora Lee Duffer Johnson. She retired from Kellwood as a factory worker, and was the oldest member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by her four children, Myrna Daniel (Allen), Billie Ruth Grant, Bob Couch, and Greg Couch (Jenny); eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Robert Couch; and two brothers, Harmel Johnson and Lester Johnson. The family will receive friends from 10:00am-2:00pm on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at the Rutherford Chapel. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Maxine J. Couch.
