Mr. Samuel Ernest ‘Sam’ Trimm, age 83 of Mason Hall, Tennessee, passed away July 4, 2026, at West TN Healthcare Volunteer Hospital in Martin. Graveside services for Mr. Trimm will be held Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 1PM at New Salem Cemetery in Mason Hall.

Mr. Trimm was born April 2, 1943, in Humboldt, TN; the son of the late Hubbard and Agnes Bell Trimm. Not only was he an educator for the Obion County School System, but he was also known across Obion County as the man to call for carpentry of any type. His woodworking skills were excellent, and his knowledge of craftsmanship was remarkable. He loved to barbecue and cook, often reading various cookbooks cover-to-cover to try new recipes to share with friends. Sam will be missed by many who respected him for his love of Mason Hall and for his kindness shown toward numerous friends across the county. Sam was a Mason at the Pearl Lodge #200, in Mason Hall, TN, from November 1967 till his passing, and was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, Sam would have preferred a donation to a favorite charity in his memory.

Sam leaves behind to cherish his memories are his daughter, Staci Trimm; his son, Chris Trimm; two grandchildren, Angel Keefe and Jonathan Trimm; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Merle Trimm.
