Scott Thomas Simpson

Scott Thomas Simpson, age 60, of Trimble passed away from this life on August 21st, 2021, at his home with his family by his side. Funeral services for Mr. Simpson will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at 11:00AM in the Kenton chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Mason Hall Cemetery.

Scott was born in Canton, IL on October 29th, 1960. He was the son of Tom Simpson and Sandra (Pillman) Simpson. He married Sue Nichols in 1981, and had three children; Amanda Nichols (Cameron Coale), Dustin Simpson, and Brandon Simpson. Scott has seven grandchildren; Aeon Davis (Kaitlyn Norris), Maili Davis, Alina Davis, Adam Simpson, Ashton Rupert, Mark Glass, Everly Coale, and a soon to be great grandson, Henry. He is also survived by his stepfather, Paul Simpson; siblings, Debra Bednar, Teresa French (Rick), Cheryl Rouleau (Rodney), Paula Simpson, Paul David Simpson, Tony Simpson, Rena Jackson, Suzanne Goodwin (Kim), and Danny Simpson (Michelle). He is proceeded in death by his father, Carl Thomas Simpson; mother, Sandra Simpson; stepmother, Paula Simpson; and two brothers, Jeffery Simpson, and Gerald Stancomb.

Scott was formerly from Elmwood, IL. He worked at Alcoa Building Products in Princeville, IL for 17 years. He moved to Tennessee in 1996 and worked at Royal Guard for 5 years. Scott then started working at Goodyear in Union City, Tennessee, in 2001, retiring from Goodyear in Gadsden, AL after 18 years.

One of Scotts greatest passions in life was to jump on that shiny red Harley Davidson with ghost flames and hit the open road to feel the wind on his face and the freedom of it all. Along with his partner in crime, Rick French, Scott liked to stop at all the Harley shops on his journeys. He loved to ride for all different types of charities, mainly cancer awareness. He was also a member of the Southern Cruisers for a short time.

Scott provided for his family and everyone that came into his home.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, from 5:00PM-8:00PM at the Kenton chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home.
