Shelby Kennemer

Mrs. Shelby Jean Kennemer, age 77 of Union City, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Baptist East Hospital- Memphis. Graveside services for Mrs. Kennemer will be conducted on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at 2:00pm at Sunnyside Cemetery with Bro. Steve Carr officiating. Interment will follow immediately. She was born August 8, 1939 in Kenton, TN; the daughter of the late Murrel Odell and Lou Emma (Ring) Primrose. She worked in housekeeping at the nursing home, and was a member of Sunswept Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Billy Lyell; siblings, J.D. Primose, Bobby Primrose, Karon Smith, and Peggy Hutchison; two grandchildren, Billy Lyell Jr., Crissy Jo Lyell; two step-grandchildren, Natasha Guerrero, and Kaylynn Romero; six great grandchildren; and four step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by lifelong companion, Gib Hada; and one brother, Jerry Primrose. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm-1:45pm on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at the Kenton chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home.
