Shirley Ann Sims

Mrs. Shirley Ann Sims, age 86 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at her home. Funeral services for Mrs. Sims will be conducted on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 1PM in the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Blake Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery.

She was born June 9, 1940, in Decaturville, TN; the daughter of the late Ulyess and Gladys Young. She was a farmer’s wife and homemaker, and attended North Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Joyce (Kenny), Patricia Rickman; five grandchildren, Dylan Joyce, Robert Joyce, Chelsea Joyce, Danielle Dixon (Hunter), Katelyn Cronin (Jacob); and five great-grandchildren, Grace Joyce, Walton Joyce, Lincoln Dixon, Katalina Dixon, and Remi Dixon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert ‘Bob’ Sims; and her parents.

Visitation with family and friends will be held, Friday, October 9, 2026, from 5PM – 8PM, at the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Shirley Ann Sims.
