Teddie Taylor Draper

Mr. Teddie Taylor Draper, age 84 of Dyersburg, Tennessee, passed away from this life on June 5, 2023, at AHC Dyersburg. Funeral services for Mr. Draper will be conducted on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 5:00 PM in the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Stephen Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Yorkville Cemetery in Yorkville, Tennessee.

He was born June 12, 1938, in Gibson County, TN; the son of the late Wilbur and Sarah Louise Taylor Draper. He worked as an HVAC technician until his retirement. He served his country with the US Airforce.

He is survived by two daughters, Julie Markham(Bill) and Janeen Scobey(Dwayne), daughter-in-law Tammy Draper, grandchildren Josh Draper (Amanda), Jeremy Draper, Johnson Draper, Kasi Martz (Justin), Bailee Blalock (Nathan), Madison Young (Garrett),and Drew Scobey (Brittney); 13 great-grandchildren, his special friend and the mother of his children, Virginia Pitts. He was preceded in death by his parents, sons Jay Draper and Jimmy Draper; sisters Charlene Brisentine and Annie McCaig; and wives Charlotte Draper and Glynda Draper.

The family will receive friends from 2:00- 5:00 PM on Friday, June 9, 2023. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Teddie Taylor Draper.
