Terry Ray Pugh

Terry R. Pugh, age 63, of Round Lake Park, Illinois, passed away on May 8, 2026. He was born on May 1, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois, and lived a life marked by kindness, intelligence, and thoughtfulness. 

Terry graduated from Gibson County High School in Dyer, Tennessee, and later earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Tennessee at Martin. He built a long and dedicated career with Caremark/CVS in Northbrook, Illinois, where he retired after 30 years of service. His work reflected his strong mind, steady commitment, and dependable nature, qualities that were appreciated by those who knew him professionally and personally. 

He is survived by his brother, Richard Pugh and Gail; his sister, Mary Hansen and the late Harry; and his sister, the late Ruth Rychetsky and Joseph. He was a loving uncle to Kim and John, Scott and Selena, Keith and Kellie, Kevin and Ryan, Lisa and Bradley, and Chris. He was also a great-uncle to several great-nieces and great-nephews. He is further remembered by his aunt, Alene McDowell, and by many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory. 

Terry was known for his warm personality and his many interests. He enjoyed Star Trek, movies, television, and novels, and he especially liked classic television shows such as M.A.S.H. He loved Mexican food and anything spicy, and he found great joy in cooking for family and friends. These simple pleasures brought him happiness and gave him many opportunities to share time and laughter with the people he loved. Those who knew Terry will remember his gentle spirit, his thoughtful nature, and the care he showed to others. He had a quiet strength and a sincere way of making people feel valued. His presence brought comfort and steadiness, and his memory will remain a source of love and gratitude for all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Visitation was held Friday, May 15, 2026, from 4PM until 8PM at Bauman Family Funeral Home in Oswego, Illinois.

Graveside services for Mr. Pugh will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Yorkville Cemetery with Bro. Mark Kirkpatrick officiating. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Terry Ray Pugh.
