Vickie Lynn Halford, 74, born November 4, 1951, in Nashville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Vickie was a woman with a big heart, a sharp wit, and just the right amount of sass. She was funny, honest, stubborn, and feisty. She never sugarcoated the truth, never took nonsense from anyone, but showed kindness to everyone she met.
Of all the roles Vickie held throughout her life, her most cherished were Mom and Granny. Her babies were her whole world, and she loved each of them fiercely, no matter how old they got.
Vickie was preceded in death by her parents, Norma Sansing and Harvey Webb; her brother, Richard Webb; her sister, Theresa Cook; her son, Derek Webb; and her granddaughter, Destin McKeel.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Halford; her children, Patrice Moss (John), Brandi Qualls, Jeremy McKeel, Jessica Hamlin (Jesse), Dwayne Halford, and Ricky Halford; her brothers, Jeffery Webb, Brian Sansing, Kevin Sansing, and Kerry Sansing; along with many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Vickie will be remembered for her laughter, her honesty, her fierce love for her family, and her ability to make you laugh and put you in your place, sometimes in the same breath.
She loved hard, laughed often, spoke her mind, and never backed down.
Rest easy, Vickie. You've earned your peace.
Your babies will take it from here.
Funeral Service for Mrs. Vickie Halford will be held Monday, November 2nd, at 11AM in the Rutherford chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 1 from 5-8 PM.
Karnes and Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Vickie Lynn Halford.
