Nell Murray

Mrs. Nell Murray, age 91 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023, at the Park Rest Nursing Home in Savannah, TN. Mrs. Murray was born October 29, 1932, in Dyer County, TN to the late Coy Wayne & Hazel (Young) Hendrix. Mrs. Nell was a dedicated employee of the Kellwood Company in Rutherford, TN for many years; and was a faithful member of First Assembly of God in Dyer for many decades, where she taught a Sunday School class and served in many ways.

She is survived by her sons, Steven (Robyn) Murray of Jackson, TN, and Jon (Laronda) Murray of Yorkville, TN; son-in-law, L.C. Hudgins; two grandsons, Joshua Murray of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Korey Hudgins of Savannah, TN; four granddaughters, Marcie (David) Gravette of Greenville, South Carolina, Alydia (Matt) Snyder of Jackson, TN, Meredith (Will) Edwards of Arlington, TN, and Madalyn (Logan) Rice of Trenton, TN; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Marilyn White, Janice Asbridge; and a host of nieces and nephews, who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd Murray; daughter, Gina Hudgins; son, Stanley Wayne Murray; grandson, Christopher Murray; great-grandson, Maddox Shearer; and daughter-in-law, Carolyn Murray.

Services for Nell Murray are Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 12PM, at Dyer First Assembly of God, with visitation beginning at 10AM-12PM. Burial will follow at Yorkville Cemetery with Pastor Mark Kirkpatrick officiating.
