William Douglas Jones

Mr. William Douglas Jones, age 76 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Saturday, December 25, 2021, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Jones will be conducted on Friday, December 31, 2021, at 2:00pm in the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. John Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery.

He was born June 13, 1945, in Yorkville, TN; the son of the late George & Amy Overby Jones. He retired from Goodyear Tire and attended New Bethlehem Baptist Church. He served his country with the US Army.  

He is survived by his wife, Anita Jones; daughter, Rita Camp (John); siblings, Betty Sue Williams, Beatrice Turner; and grandchildren, Emerald Jones, Amy Lee, and Jayson Camp. He was preceded in death by siblings, Pete Overby, and Mary Fisher Joyce.

The family will receive friends from 11:00am – 2:00pm on Friday, December 31, 2021, at the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. William Douglas Jones.
