Graveside services will be held for Willis “Bill” Mack Becton, age 98 of Dyer, TN at Mt. Olive Cemetery, on Sunday, August 21, 2022, at 3:00pm, with Bro. Jerry Woods officiating.

He departed his life Thursday, August 18, 2022, at the VA Nursing Home in Humboldt, TN. He was born March 24, 1924, to the late Connie Lee and Willie T. Becton of Dyer. He was married to the late Mary Louise Bryant of Rutherford, TN.

Mr. Bill, as people knew him, was an extremely outgoing person who knew no strangers. He was a restaurant owner and insurance salesperson. He was also a Walmart greeter in Milan, TN, during his later years. He served his country in the Army during WWII. He loved gardening, visiting, and helping those in need through church, Lions Club, and various organizations.

He is survived by two sons, Mike (Faye) Becton of Humboldt, Johnny Becton of Cadiz, KY; three grandchildren, Michael Blake (Katie) Becton of Clermont, FL, William Thomas Becton of Davenport, FL, Brooks Andrew (Hope) Becton of Aiken, SC; great granddaughter, Ellie Blake Becton of Clermont, FL; two step grandchildren, Josh (Jessica) Smith of Milan , TN, Kelly (Jimmy) Thomas of Lavenia, TN; and six great grandchildren
